Meeting: CIS and Austin Voices for Youth in Education

This morning I met up with Tim Eubanks of Austin Voices for Youth in Education and Emily Bessey, of Communities in Schools to present the Passport:ATX concept and to see how we might collaborate.

It was a great meeting. CIS has a presence in 13 area high schools and does case work for as many as 100 students in each school. Ms. Bessey was into the idea and felt that it would definitely benefit youth that she works with. Our next step is to lock down a date for a lunchtime focus group with youth, the first one to be held at Reagan HS in Northeast Austin.
