Summer 2008: Status Update

In the midst of preparing to get married, I offer these reflecting a lot on the present status of the project.

We received a call from the office of City Councilmember Mike Martinez, and have a meeting scheduled for the first week in June. Exciting stuff, and it brings the sweetness of possibility to the idea in the moment when disappointing news came back from all three grant applications.

A project of this nature and scale will only be possible with help and collaboration from a lot more people and institutions, and will most likely take longer than I hoped to get it running.
