Yesterday I went to City Hall and met with Councilman Mike Martinez. I had not been to the new Austin City Hall building and it is pretty amazing. It incorporates lots of natural features (local limestone, plants, rain collection, passive solar) and is a refreshing place to visit and work.
The meeting was encouraging. Councilmember Martinez and I brainstormed a bit and he was very much into tying cool volunteer service projects into the card (like repainting the Cesar Chavez mural on South First Street), offered some good feedback, suggestions, and contacts of colleagues that can help move the project forward.
Adelante.
Steps forward! A meeting with Councilman Mike Martinez
